Founded by MLB pitcher, Rob Wooten, C35 Baseball is a 501(c)(3) non-profit player development program based in the Pinehurst area of North Carolina.
It is the holistic approach to coaching youth that makes C35’s program unique.
Along with a team of athletic coaches and professional trainers, Rob has implemented a one of a kind program that teaches not only proper athletic technique but physical conditioning, leadership skills and character development as well.
C35’s Mission is to use sports to teach young men and women how to be successful at home, in the classroom, in the community and in life.
Rob Wooten, C35 Founder and President
Rob was an All-State player at C.B. Aycock High School in Pikeville, NC, where he holds most school records in pitching. His number #14 was retired in October of 2017. Rob spent his collegiate career at The University of North Carolina wearing #35. During his time at UNC, Rob played in 3 college World Series, multiple regular season ACC championships and the 2007 ACC tournament championship. Rob holds the record at UNC for most pitching appearances in a season with 47. He is also 2nd with 44 appearances in his senior season. Rob holds the College World Series record with 6 appearances in one tournament in 2007. He also is 2nd all-time in pitching appearances in College World Series history with 11.
Rob was drafted in the 13th round of the 2008 MLB draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. He made his MLB debut on July 26th vs the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. Rob has played 13 professional seasons with 3 of those in the Major Leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers. Rob has also played for the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds Organizations. Rob was selected and played on a MLB all-star team that traveled to Japan in November, 2014. The MLB all-stars took on the Japan World Baseball classic team. Rob appeared in 3 of the 7 games played in Japan. Rob is married to his wife Katie and they have 3 amazing children, Markie, Winston and Wicker.
Ricky Young, General Manager
Coach Young has experienced success as a player and as a coach. He played at Hallsboro High school, winning a state championship in 1987 and the state runner up in 1988. He also won a state championship with Whiteville Post 137 American Legion in 1989. He went on to play collegiately at Methodist College and was a member of the 1991 team that placed third in the Division III College World Series.
He began his coaching career as the Head Coach of Fair Bluff American Legion team in 1996 and became the Head Coach of West Columbus High School in the 1999 season. The Vikings set the school record for wins in 2006 with 28 and finished runner up that year in the state championship series. He became the head coach at Richmond Senior HS in the 2010 season and stayed there until the 2019 season. The Raiders won 28 games in a row in the 2013 season on their way to a school record 28-3 finish. The next season the Raiders finished runner up in the 2014 state championship series. Coach Young finished his high school career with 21 years as a head coach and 388 career wins. He won 11 ‘Coach of the Year’ awards and 10 conference championships.
Jevon Wade, Director, Youth Baseball /Assistant General Manager
Jevon Wade is the C35 Youth Director and 2026 Coach. He is also the Head Baseball Coach at Lee County High School.
Jevon is a Lee County High School graduate (‘95-’98) and started coaching youth baseball in 2006 followed by travel baseball in 2009. In 2012, he became coach at East Lee Middle School for 2 seasons with an overall record of 21-3.
In 2015 & 2016, Jevon was the Head JV Baseball Coach & Asst. Varsity coach at Lee County High School. He has been the Head Varsity Coach at Lee County High School since 2017 with an overall record of 45-32.
Paige Wolters, Director, Youth Softball
Paige is the C35 Softball Director and a former collegiate ACC softball player. A 4-year starting pitcher at Georgia Tech, she helped lead the Yellow Jackets as a team captain during her last two seasons on the field.
Paige has over 25 years of playing & coaching experience and is currently completing her Instructor certification with Tincher Pitching. Paige is also a military spouse of 21 years and has lived in Moore County since 2005 with her husband, Jeff, and their three children.
Paige joined the C35 family because she believes in developing young leaders through athletics and helping players grow into champions both on and off the field.

Morgan Krout, 14U Softball Coach
Morgan Krout is our positions & hitting lead instructor and coaches our 12U & 14U players. Morgan was a 1st baseman for Catawba College 2012-2016, leading her team in home runs her senior year. Since 2017, she has played softball internationally in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Germany, and has also traveled to Aruba to coach for the USA Athletes International team. Morgan believes in playing each game like it’s the last and to always know that you’re the best player to be in your position at that time.
Jamie Floyd, 10U Softball Coach
Jamie Floyd, still affectionately known as Coach Roseberry, is the softball coach at West Pine Middle School and our 10U head coach. Jamie is both a life-long Ohio State Buckeye and a life-long softball player who truly loves the sport and the growth opportunities it gives. As a math teacher, Coach Floyd is a dynamic force and is loved by all her students. She knows how to connect with, inspire, and challenge young athletes to reach for the stars, and we are grateful for the leadership Jamie is providing to our youngest Storm players.
Casey Keller, 14U Assistant Coach
Casey Keller is the assistant coach for the 14u softball team. Casey was a catcher for Virginia Tech her freshman year and set a single-game high of 15 put-outs. After a knee injury temporarily sidelined her, she completed her collegiate career at Presbyterian College, 2015-2018. Casey is known for being a strong and caring leader. “Working with young athletes is rewarding & something I am passionate about”, and she is excited to give back to the sport that has given her so much.
Ray Bear, Sports Performance
Coach Ray Bear is the C35 Sports Performance coach. Before moving to the Sandhills, he was with the Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Royals, and Cleveland Indians organizations as a Strength & Conditioning coach or consultant.
He is currently a Human Performance Coordinator at Fort Bragg and spends many afternoons & evenings working with young athletes at the C35 Sports Academy.
Chad Triplett, Director, C35 Fuquay-Varina
Chad Triplett is the Director of C35 Fuquay & co-owner of South Wake Sports Academy in Fuquay-Varina. He is also the Head Coach of the 14U C35 Fuquay baseball team.
Chad is a native of Jonesville, NC and is a 4-year baseball letter winner at ECU from 1991-1994. He also enjoys coaching Youth Basketball & playing golf. Chad and his wife, Kendall, have 4 wonderful children, Cole, Sydney, Preston, and Tate.
